Sunday 2nd August 2020
The East Antrim Old Vehicle Club (EAOVC) will host the annual Belfast-Portrush Cavalcade on Sunday 2nd August 2020.
We are pleased to anounce that this years charity is ‘Autism NI’
They are Autism NI is a parent led partnership organisation formed to promote positive collaboration between parents, professionals and individuals with Autism and address the need for appropriate services.
This partnership ethos extends to the charities promotion of a multi disciplinary, cross agency response to issues such as assessment, diagnosis and early intervention.
The charity's mission to support parents and individuals with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder is core to its work and is based on individualised assessed need.
The charity is committed to promoting best practice, accessible to all irrespective of family circumstances.
The event is Sponsored by E.A.Davies Insurance & Co Ltd, Glengormley for the 14th year.
Last year's event raised £3500 for ‘The Welcome Organisation’ . With your support we can raise even more for this years charity.
The Cavalcade will again start off at Mossley Mill. Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council will be providing us with a hearty breakfast to get us on our way.
Leaving the mill at 10:30am the cavalcade will wind it's way to Portrush, parking up at the Dunluce Green for a static display. There you can take the short walk into Portrush for a light lunch, or bring a picnic and relax for the afternoon.
At about 4:00pm we will then proceed in convoy to the Magherabouy House Hotel for a Three Course Dinner, followed by presentation of the finishers awards and the drawing of the ballots.
Everyone is welcome to come and see the 100+ cars from 1930's to 1980's, either along the route at the roadside as they pass through, or at any of the stops through-out the day. The Club really appreciate the support the public has given throughout the years
